Manchester United's newest signing Leny Yoro has been given advice by club legend Rio Ferdinand on how to suceed with the Red Devils.

Lille and Manchester United completed a £52 million ($68m) deal for the transfer of Yoro and the Red Devils made his announcement official with the Frenchman receiving a video message from Ferdinand, who advised the 18-year-old on how to succeed with the club.

If specific athletic goals are reached, the fee United pay Lille might increase to £60m ($78m). Yoro, who has made 60 appearances for Lille, has inked a five-year contract with the Premier League side through 2029. Lille finished fourth last season and the 18-year-old centre-back was named in the team of the season after scoring twice in 32 Ligue 1 games.

The 18-year-old Frenchman will now join Erik ten Hag and his new team-mates later this week when he joins the Red Devils' pre-season training camp and is likely to be part of the team that heads to the United States.
