Dunk makes mistake against Belgium's LukakuMade the same mistake against Lukaku for BrightonFans left frustrated by the identical mistakesWHAT HAPPENED?
Earlier this week, in the first half of their friendly match at Wembley Stadium, England gave up two cheap goals to Belgium. Youri Tielemans of Aston Villa scored the first goal after taking advantage of a mistake made by Jordan Pickford. Ivan Toney, a Brentford player, scored his first goal for England from the penalty spot to level the game. Belgium, however, regained the lead through Tielemans as Romelu Lukaku capitalised on a sloppy piece of defending from Dunk, which looked very similar to a mistake he made against Lukaku during Brighton's Europa League clash against Roma.

@CaseyEvans added: "You have to be a special kind of bad to make Romelu Lukaku look that good in 2024, but Lewis Dunk you figured out how to do it."
Another X user @MikeKing14_ commented: "Got to sit here and watch Dunk get bullied by Lukaku for the second time in a month because an Isthmian Prem ref fancied a night off"
An X user commented: "Anytime Lewis Dunk faces Lukaku, it’s the EXACT same result. there is no way he should make that England squad for the Euros – horrendous stuff"

It was Dunk's fifth time playing for England. Despite making over 400 appearances for Brighton since 2014, the centre-back has found it difficult to establish himself on the international scene. His poor showing in the two friendlies against Belgium and Brazil could potentially cost him his spot on the plane to Germany for the Euros.
WHAT NEXT FOR DUNK?
The 32-year-old rejoined the Brighton players after the completion of his international duties with the Three Lions. He will be in action next up when Brighton take on Liverpool on Sunday, March 31.
